Rocky (1976)

Struggling Philadelphia boxer Rocky Balboa sees his life change when he’s unexpectedly chosen to fight Apollo Creed, the heavyweight world champion, after Creed’s opponent withdraws due to injury. Known as the "Italian Stallion," Rocky lives a modest life, training in a rundown gym. Initially hesitant, he accepts the fight, aiming not to win but simply to go the distance—a feat no one has achieved against Creed.
