Enrique is a P.E. teacher at a high school, who's sacked because his classes are fun and games with music, and the schoolmaster dislikes them. He drives to live with his grandfather (Luis Escobar, La Escopeta Nacional), to find that his 10-year-old sister Ana, a student, eloped with him, unwilling to stay there. En route, they find a children's music band, the Coconuts (featuring a young Achero mañas) and they decide to start a professional career in music. The grandfather supports them, as long as they also study; he hires a governess, Castañeta (Amparo Soler Leal, La Gran Familia). The grandfather happens to be some kind of very advanced scientist living in a castle with a team of people working for him, including a speaking (and whining) computer Omicrón and a stereotypical scout (José Lifante, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Tiempos Duros Para Drácula). The grandfather is confronting Barón Von Nekruch (Agustín González, Belle Époque), a green-skinned immoral scientist with (low-budget) alien-looking minions who wants to steal valuable discoveries from the grandfather that will help in his evil plan. Two of Von Nekruch's clumsy spies, (Guillermo Montesinos, "La Vaquilla" and Emilio Mellado) repeatedly and comically fail in their attempts - until they plan a way to blackmail the grandfather by kidnapping by-then-successful Enrique and Ana.
