Xica (1976)

In the latter half of the 18th century, Xica da Silva (Zezé Motta), once a slave, transforms into a lady of high society in Diamantina after captivating the wealthy João Fernandes (Walmor Chagas). Now a figure of extravagance, she hosts opulent parties and banquets, even featuring performances by European theater groups. Xica's lavish lifestyle propels her fame to the courts of Portugal.
