The Entity (1982)

Faced with an inexplicable supernatural incident, as if struggling to make ends meet and getting her life back on track wasn't enough, Carla Moran, a single mother of three, finds herself with her back to the wall. After all, Carla is having difficulty telling the difference between fact and fantasy; what is more disturbing, however, is that she cannot find a logical explanation. For instance, no one can describe how the unseen assailant broke into her home. But the painful bruises in hard-to-reach parts of Carla's body don't lie. As the late-night paranormal attacks become increasingly violent and all attempts with psychotherapy fail, desperate Carla has no choice but to turn to parapsychology for shreds of hope. Is there, however, a way out of abstract evil? Can Carla defeat the Entity?
