When the Wind Blows (1986)

An elderly (animated) woman daydreams herself as a nude butterfly, this lasts for a few moments.

Brief dialogue in which a woman misinterprets her husband's use of the word "stimulate" and says she's not in the mood for it.

Some disturbing images relating to the aftermath of a nuclear bomb, an older couple is affected by it (hair falling out, welches on their skin) in one scene Hilda throws up, we don't see all the vomit, but there is a little bit on her afterwards.

One instance of a man calling his wife a "bitch."

A man says he was going to meet his friend for a pint.

Right after Jim throws Hilda into the fallout shelter, a scene of their house suddenly becomes purple and blue and then goes black. this could catch people off-guard as it happens really quickly

When the bomb finally hits we see building bee destroyed sheep burning (not graphic at all) a church being destroyed a train going off the rails and a house getting demolished meanwhile during all this there's dark music in the background with continuous line by hilda concerned her cake will be burned.

The movie takes a slow approach to becoming incredibly heart-wrenching. It may be difficult to watch for people of any age, with its theme about the aftermath of a nuclear attack.
