Coming Out (1989)

Philipp, a closeted high school teacher in East Berlin, hides his true self by dating a female colleague, Tanja, and even becoming engaged to her. However, his carefully constructed facade begins to unravel when he stumbles into a gay bar. There, he meets Matthias, a young man who awakens feelings he can no longer suppress. As Philipp grapples with his identity, his relationships falter, exposing the tensions of his double life.
