Metropolitan (1989)

A middle-class Princeton student, Tom Townsend, finds himself drawn into the exclusive world of Manhattan's debutante ball season after a chance encounter with a clique of privileged young socialites. Initially an outsider, Tom's critical views on wealth and his modest upbringing set him apart from the group. As he becomes entangled in their nightly gatherings, unresolved feelings threaten the group's fragile dynamics.
