Charlie's Ghost Story (1995)

Dave, an archaeologist, and his team finally find the Spanish explorer Coronado's over 400 year old grave after six months digging. When removing the treasures, they also remove Coronado's skeleton. Dave and his preteen son, Charlie, move into their new home by the university and museum. Their new maid/Linda Fiorentino thinks that Coronado's bones should have remained. Charlie meets a cute girl and some bullies in the neighborhood. Coronado's ghost wants his remains buried so he starts haunting Charlie already the first night and the following evening and days. When the scared Charlie runs to his dad at the museum, he disturbs his dad's presentation of the Coronado findings including the skeleton. Afterwards, the ghost asks Charlie to help him get his bones buried on holy ground/ cemetery.
