Germinal (1993)

In the rich mine owner's household, there is depicted an extramarital incestual relationship between a married woman and her nephew, who is engaged to her daughter. She is shown to regularly sneak into his bedroom and they are seen naked under covers in bed together. The husband discovers this late in the film.

Men are seen full frontally nude while bathing, while a woman is shown nude from the behind with glimpses of bare breasts.

A husband and wife have implied rear-entry sex after she has bathed him. Man is nude but covered partly with a towel on stepping out of the tub.

In the bushes, a man coerces a woman into sex in a situation laying on the ground. No nudity.

A man's pants are stripped after he falls to his death and then castrated by a group of women while men look on in horror. The genitals are held up for display.

A woman is topless in a few scenes, mostly bathing and working, not in sexual context.

A man's penis and scrotum are graphically cut off and held up to everyone while they stare in horror. Most shocking scene of the movie.

Several characters die by gun shot.

A girl is strangled.

A young girl dies from an illness, most likely caused by malnutrition. The expression on her dead face is disturbing.

There are explosions in a few scenes that kill people.

An antagonist is abusive to his girlfriend throughout the movie.

Some swearing, and name calling is heard at various points.

On the whole, the film is a very intense watch, especially the castration scene

Mass starvation is depicted throughout.
