The rock vocalist Viggo gets out of prison after eight years and starts looking for his past. Through songs, flashbacks and real time events he remembers the young female drug addict Vivian, his friend the keyboard player Torbjørn, and the band they once played in. Vivian is attracted to both men. Eventually Viggo kills her.
