A couple of passionate kisses and sexual innuendo. A line drawing of a male organ. A prostitute is shown with her arms over her naked breasts. A man rips off a woman's nightgown and licks her back.

A child is beaten (we only see shadows and hear screams). The child is then put in a closet with a rat. A child is kicked and stomped and blood is shown on her torso. A man breaks a teacup and has a bloody gash on his hand; he pulls out a shard of glass with his teeth. A room is drenched in blood. An eel is hacked to death, bloody animal carcasses and organs, blood on a table. A man is holding a woman's decapitated head with blood dripping from it. A man chases a woman. A man is beaten in the face and head with a cane.

One character is shown to be an alcoholic, though is never actually seen drinking.

There are a couple frightening murders and chase scenes, but the movie is not meant to be scary and is more atmospheric.
