Gattaca (1997)

This science fiction story is set in the future, where babies are conceived by genetic selection. Vincent Freeman, conceived naturally, fantasizes about traveling into space but because of a health condition he is considered inferior. Vincent takes the place of Jerome Morrow, a paralyzed but "superior" athlete and joins the Gattaca space program, where a murder occurs and everything is put in jeopardy. An intelligent and thought-provoking film with excellent performances by Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman and Jude Law.
