Once in a Lifetime (1925)

Glenn Horton, a youth addicted to golf, arouses the wrath of passers-by when he practices his swing on his front lawn. He drives golf balls so recklessly that he is finally chased into the freight yards by an irate crowd. There he rescues the mayor's daughter from a thug who is kidnapping her, and he and the girl are carried off in a boxcar. After a series of adventures, Glenn saves the mayor from assassination by the very thug who attempted to kidnap the girl. Glenn and the mayor's daughter are married.
