The Manxman (1929)

On the Isle of Man, Pete, a poor fisherman, and Philip, a rising lawyer, grew up as close as brothers. Pete falls in love with Kate, the landlord's spirited daughter, but her father deems him unworthy due to his lack of wealth. Determined to prove himself, Pete leaves the island to seek his fortune, entrusting Kate to Philip's care. However, as time passes, Kate and Philip grow closer and begin to fall in love, with Pete's impending return looming over them.
