The Only Way (1925)

A brilliant but improvident and dissipated lawyer's assistant chances to do a service for a young French aristocrat. He falls in love with the latter's bride, but honor and decency oblige him to preserve his secret. His mute devotion to the girl leads him once more to do her a service for which he deliberately pays with his life. The situation is made more intriguing by the hopeless love of a London street waif for the hero.
