Scarface (1932)

In 1920s Chicago, Tony "Scarface" Camonte, a ruthless and ambitious Italian immigrant, serves as a bodyguard for crime lord "Big" Louis Costillo. After assassinating his boss at the behest of Costillo’s second-in-command, Johnny Lovo, Tony rises to power in the South Side's bootlegging empire. Ignoring Lovo's orders, Tony aggressively expands into rival territories, inciting a violent gang war. As Tony's notoriety and wealth grow, so does his obsession with control.
