Buck Donlin is released from prison, with the condition he can't carry a firearm, after being unjustly convicted of the killing of a detective who was on the trail of a cattle thief. He returns to his hometown to find everybody against him except his sweetheart Helen Evans, her father Henry Evans and young Jimmy. Buck knows who the killer really is but faces some handicaps in proving it. Evidently, the original cast credits frames are missing from the video prints available (taken from the Gail TV prints that always scrapped the original title frames), and some source has used the Variety review of this film as their source for the cast order and role names. The only problem with that is that the review cast listing managed to eliminate Edward LeSaint (playing Henry Evans, billed as Edward J. LeSaint)and then crunched the name into that of the next player, and came up with Edwin J. Brady playing Henry Evans. Ed Brady (actually billed as Edwin Brady, the incorrect review listing aside) played bad guy "Lefty."This has been corrected on the IMDb site once before, and since The Gail TV prints seldom showed the character roles on Columbia westerns, including this one,it would be appreciated greatly if the contributor that "re-corrected" it back to the typo-laden credits shown in the January 26, 1932 review, would not do so again, especially if said contributor doesn't seem to know the difference between actors Edward LeSaint and Ed (Edwin) Brady. Or, possibly, hasn't watched the film.
