Altar mayor (1944)

Javier and Teresina, a simple village girl, fall in love during his stay in the Asturias countryside recovering from an illness. He promises to marry her before the Covadonga Virgin altar. Back in Madrid, Javier's mother has other plans for his son, to marry him to a marquise. Time goes by and all of them return to Asturias, and Javier must now decide on his future.
