Orpheus (1950)

The celebrated poet Orpheus becomes captivated by Death, personified as the enigmatic Princess. After witnessing her revive a dead poet and disappear into a mirror, Orpheus grows obsessed with cryptic radio messages and neglects his pregnant wife, Eurydice. When Death’s henchmen kill Eurydice, Orpheus ventures into the Underworld to save her. But torn between his love for Death and Eurydice, tragedy follows.
