Ivan's Childhood (1962)

During World War II, 12-year-old Ivan Bondarev works as a spy for the Soviet army on the eastern front, exploiting his small size to cross German lines unnoticed. Haunted by the brutal deaths of his family at the hands of German soldiers, Ivan is driven by a burning desire for revenge. Despite efforts to send him to a military school for his safety, he remains resolute in his mission to fight on the front lines.
