The Swimming Pool (1969)

This French psychological drama is about a couple, Jean-Paul and Marianne, who go on vacation on the French Riviera. Their peacefulness and relationship is threatened when Marianne invites an ex-lover and his teenage daughter. Soon the tension will take a turn as jealousy and violence grow, fused by the love triangle, and the summer calm will be completely set aside. This film sent director Jacques Deray to stardom in the late 1960s, including in his cast the renowned Alain Delon and Jane Birkin.
