Luv (1967)

Talk about sexuality between married men and women.

Punch and bloody nose.

Smoking.

Social drinking and smoking.

Opening scenes have a suicidal man trying to jump off of a bridge, throw himself in front of a bulldozer, and hang himself. These are all played for laughs, as he's fairly incompetent at the act. (It could still be troubling to some viewers, especially given how he does not really get any appropriate treatment for his mental health.)
