Don't Look Under the Bed (1999)

Two characters passionatly kiss towards the end. Frances and Larry have also shown signs of a "love/hate" relationship. Also, having just gotten out of the shower in one scene, Frances is, of course, wearing nothing but a bath robe (but it shows nothing, not even cleaveage). But overall, there is no real sex or nudity.

Frances' guidance counselor is invited to dinner. She tells Frances' mom that she has a "lovely little bust" and Frances' mom makes a shocked and offended face. This is an innuendo joke for older viewers; the counselor is not referring to the mom's bust size but to an anthropology bust statue in a corner of the room.

Frances' friend Jo expresses her crush on a local boy in the neighborhood, and tells Frances not to let the cat out of the bag. The boogeyman overhears this and tries to frame Frances as the one who tells other people about the crush.

High-schoolers in one-piece swimsuits dive into a pool filled with Jell-O.

In the film's intro, Frances' father is briefly seen asleep in bed with his wife. He has no shirt on, but his legs are covered by a blanket.

Frances' brother mentions that he thinks a town news reporter woman is "a hottie".

There is one scene where the Boogeyman and Larry are on the roof and the Boogeyman causes a string of lights to get tangled around Larry's left leg. The Boogeyman knocks him over and Larry slides down the roof and dangles on the edge, the cord snaps and he falls off the roof (the impact isn't shown, and he isn't hurt). Meanwhile, Frances has a ladder in her hands (unaware of the Boogeyman, since she can't see him) and when he falls off the roof another light knocks her and the ladder over, causing the ladder to shatter a window (nobody is hurt).

The boogeyman traps Darwin in a bag and tries to throw him over the edge of a cliff.

Larry and Zoe express pain when turning into and changing back from being boogeymen.

Darwin is mentioned to have had a near-death experience with leukemia in the past; bone marrow transplants are mentioned.

It's revealed that Frances betrayed her best friend, Zoe, who is imaginary, by no longer believing in her. Zoe becomes a boogeyman, and both friends later on cry and hug.

There is also a few near-yelling arguments.

In one scene, it sounds like Larry says "that's my friend, you skanky creep!" to the boogeyman, although he could also be saying "stanky creep", the audio quality isn't that great so it's hard to tell.

Larry smokes a pipe, but bubbles come out of it instead of tobacco smoke.
