Urge for Life (1986)

Sharing the same passion in life, two young aspiring actors, Kostas and George, struggle to make ends meet in Athens--and, in contrast to their big dreams--they somehow manage to make a living. Always owing money, the talented but suicidal George will see his life take a turn for the worse after the end of his relationship with the fellow actress, Katerina; a pivotal point in George's life that marks the beginning of a personal nightmare, and a plunge in self-pity. As a result, George is now determined to find a way to end a miserable life without her; however, he plays it safe when attempting suicide, simply because he knows that Kostas will always be there for him. Until now, all those unsuccessful attempts kept George alive--but, after a spine-chilling call from a stranger who promises to execute his death wish professionally--this solitary wandering soul is bound to re-evaluate his plans. Will George ever find peace?
