Amor de una vida (1946)

During a stormy night, a rich man is abandoned by his wife, who blames him for her unhappy life. The man and his driver die in a carriage accident after leaving the house to search for her. Days later, Carlos Landa (Tomás Perrín), a military man who is the only son and heir of all the properties returns to the country with intentions of selling the hacienda and all the land and firing all the workers. Luisa (Mapy Cortés), the beautiful, charming maid who was the daughter of the dead driver, encourages him to keep it all and start to harvest the land. Although Carlos accepts, the villagers gossip about the new life at the hacienda and speak against Luisa and Carlos living there alone together. In time Luisa starts to have feelings for Carlos, who seems to respond--until his attention is captured by a new-arrived aristocratic lady, Margarita (Amparo Morillo).
