Angelo graduated in letters, but entered the special police corps and was sent to Volci, Sicily, where with the help of his colleague Sante Venuti and pretending to be a professor of letters he must protect Rosangela Romeo, his pupil, sister of a mobster detained at the Ucciardone who will hopefully repent.
