Conceited (1973)

Without a doubt, the successful but conceited businessman, Makis Karasinis, is an out-and-out megalomaniac. When his trusted farmhand, Manolis, arrives in his office with a bottle filled with oil coming from his well, Makis becomes convinced that his time has finally come to taste a slice of the good life--and without a second thought--he starts a wholesale petroleum company. But, this unexpected discovery catches the attention of money-grubbing swindlers who want to rinse Makis for every penny, and as if that weren't enough, his lovely daughter, Nasoula, is seriously considering eloping with her beau. Can Makis' loyal secretary, Ismini, help him see that this reckless enterprise is nothing but an elaborate hoax?
