Al-akmar (1981)

Al-Akmar is the second mosque built in Egypt. The story revolves around the relationships of exploitation and people living around the lower-class mosque, the honest vegetable salesman and the deviant taxi driver who lives in his own phrase, "Nidal Tammut Mestour", his friend the drug addict, He tries to live in Halal and loves the saleswoman, a prostitute married to a police officer, and the rich who prays every Friday with prayer. He is corrupt and conspires with some officials to demolish the mosque under the pretext of establishing a cultural palace .
