A free adaptation of the heartbreaking ancient Greek myth of Hero and Leander--the story of the devout priestess of Goddess Aphrodite who fell madly in love with a handsome young man from Abydos, an ancient city on the Asian coast of the Hellespont. On a remote island of the Aegean Sea, a young nun has a chance encounter with a charming fugitive and falls head-over-heels in love with him. Will she renounce her beliefs for the sake of love?
