The Key of Happiness (1953)

Living under the same roof with the parsimonious and insufferable bachelor, Vasilakis, his sensitive musician brother, Yanakis, and her weary, grizzled mother in the lavish De la Freta mansion, the romantic young dreamer, Froso, is waiting for her chosen one, Panagis, to finally express his deeper feelings for her. Instead, the handsome but indecisive man seems overly attached to haughty Aunt Marietta, who, of course, opposes their union. Then, the benevolent, kind-hearted, and self-made shipowner, Captain Nikolas, returns to his hometown of Argostoli bearing gifts, and, intent on marrying beautiful Froso, she proposes; however, even though she likes him, she is still in love with Panagis who keeps going back and forth between missing her and avoiding her. Will Froso discover what is best for her, and the key to happiness?
