The Stigma of Corruption (1966)

Living on the margins of society, Yorgos Floras comes to a reluctant agreement with Efi, a statuesque young streetwalker. As a result, Yorgos becomes Efi's make-believe husband to repay his gambling debts, and Efi has one last chance to honour the last wish of her dying father. However, painful hesitancy and heavy shadows of disbelief stand in the way of success. And as Efi and Yorgos confront their feelings, their dishonourable past threatens to come back with a vengeance.
