Memories of a Cop (1956)

Captain Dominique is at the head of Marseille crime squad.His son,Gérard, meets again a friend of his army days,Fred,who is part of a gang of racketeers .The father warns his son against Fred's bad influence ,but to no avail.He also tries to put Fred back on the straight and narrow.Meanwhile ,the racketeers go on fleecing the cafes and the nightclubs ,and does not shrink from murdering.After killing one of his accomplices, Fred is pursued by a gangster and meets a tragic end.
