Perfect Blue (1997)

Mima Kirigoe is a singer who has a promising career as a member of the J-pop idol group "CHAM!", spending years entertaining its fans. But she decided to leave the group to pursue her potential as an actress. As time passes, her life changes drastically, with a taxing role in a crime drama series; an obsessed fan stalking her, and an anonymous website that documents her daily life. A snowball effect occurs, leading her sanity towards a downward spiral. This anime, regarded as a highly praised classic, adapts the manga of the same name and is the directorial debut of one of the industry's most renowned directors: Satoshi Kon.
