This Golden Globe® Award winning documentary, which made quite a splash in 1976 when it was first released, holds to the premise that the revolutionary and rebellious drug-using hippies of the '60s had, by the '70s, dropped all that radicalism in favor of a religious quest. Among the religious directions examined are Swami Bhaktivedanta's "Hare Krishna Movement" (ISKCON), Christian evangelism, including that of the Salvation Army, and some of the newer manifestations of fundamentalism.
