Where the Wild Things Are (2009)

Max is a boy who feels misunderstood at home and at school, and so he escapes to an unusual world inhabited by wild creatures, who choose Max as their absolute leader. He promises them to create a kingdom where everyone will be happy, but he discovers that being king is not easy and that even in that world where he feels so comfortable, something is missing. Based on a book by Maurice Sendak, the film explores a child's imagination in a breathtaking way, mixing the rational with the oneiric. Be sure to see it.
