An acrobatic circus has just been born in Conakry, thirty boys and girls street children, school dropouts; gifted dancers and percussionists. March 1, 2000, the Circus Baobab troupe is ready to undertake its first tour throughout Guinea. A great tour, six weeks, three cities, four thousand kilometers to the depths of the country. Curious heterogeneous convoy covered with laterite which stops in the middle of a stadium in the bush. Then, as if by magic, a huge stage rises from which emerges a surprising Baobab, built from metal, teak and mahogany. The first trapezoids are attached to it. In this village where electricity is scarce, the limelight suddenly lights up. A colossal crowd is at the rendezvous for the event. The Djembes get going, the dancers spring up, the trapeze artists fly, the acrobats contort themselves, the fire-eaters light up the night, the spectators cannot believe their eyes. The deeper the tour goes into the heart of the country, the more the young city acrobats of the Troupe discover that a circus is also about learning about life.
