While in Afghanistan, journalist Aleksey Rusanov encounters cases of a strange and incurable disease that affects numerous individuals. Simultaneously, a brief article flashes in the newspaper of the neighboring state of Sindabad, strongly hinting that the epidemic was artificially induced by a previously unknown species of mosquitoes. Determined to uncover the truth behind this devastating illness, Rusanov resolves to journey to Sindabad. There, he successfully infiltrates Professor Naley's secret laboratory, which is funded by the CIA.
