Strangers Melody (1979)

Des Iskandar who comes from Indonesia is studying at a university in Malaysia. He met Faridah after saving her from drowning. Iskandar tells his old love story with Emilia. Des and Emilia study at the same campus. Their relationship was not approved by Emilia's father because he cared about wealth. Datuk Ariff, who is Emilia's father, plans to match Emilia with Wan Farid - Wan Kamarul's son who is his business partner. Emilia asked to break off her engagement to Wan Farid because he was a thug and beat Des. One day Des' father came to Malaysia to have a business discussion with Datuk Ariff. It was only then that Datuk Ariff found out that Des also came from a rich family and he began to like her. Des' father (Pak Hasbullah) also agreed to adopt Emilia. But when Des returned to Medan for the semester break, Emilia unexpectedly died in a road accident.
