Once Upon a Christmas Time (1959)

Families in a small Vermont town want to provide a merry Christmas to the poor children in the local orphanage, but the woman who runs the institution will not allow her charges to leave. The determined villagers attempt to change the old woman's mind and allow the children to visit their homes for the holiday.
