Teen Bhubaner Parey (1969)

Montu (Soumitra) is a factory worker, drunkard and street romeo with his gang of friends. A new girl Sarasi (Tanuja) moves in the colony with her family, brother, sister in law and mother. She is a post graduate and a teacher while Montu is only matriculate. Montu stalks her and eventually she gets fond of him, and then in love and marries against both the families wishes. They move to a new flat and there Sarasi takes into herself to change Montu, forcing him to restart his education and leave his earlier company. He does, but feels suffocated and lonely. Eventually he completes his doctorate and becomes a professor, but by then they have moved away from each other. A new girl, his ex student Heena (Sumita Sanyal) arrives, a billionaire's army contractor's daughter, with an offer of a job, in Army. But he had to relocate elsewhere, Sarasi can't leave her school job. It is on Montu now, take a new job, and probably Heena or stay back in his loveless marriage, just due to the gratitude?
