The Wait (2002)

Silvia takes care of her invalid mother, a difficult and ungrateful woman with constant demands that complicate their daily life. Her neighbor, Modesto, is an elderly man who lives alone and sends her anonymous letters. A complex relationship of dependence is woven between the three of them, from which Silvia cannot escape. Thus, her life passes in an environment of decadence and alienation, until Ernesto appears, representing a possible way out and the hope of a change.
