Chariton's Choir (2005)

The year is 1968, a period of great civil unrest throughout France. Meanwhile, another type of change is taking place in Greece: the colonels have seized power and established a military regime, sending shock waves throughout the country. As a result, the citizens of a small community in Corfu are in turmoil. However, despite the political circumstances, the annual Choir Olympics remain the town's focal point, and everyone is preparing for the event. The school choir is under the guidance of Chariton, the school's charismatic and talented headmaster, who infuses music with his passion and energy. And then, ambitious military commander Major Dimitriou arrives, ushering in a new era of challenges. After all, the stern military man is determined to restore order. Instead, his presence triggers dramatic events that threaten to derail the upcoming competition. As tempers flare and tensions rise between the two antagonists, a lovely mathematician enters the equation and becomes the object of their affection. Suddenly, the town is abuzz with rumours and gossip, leading to an inevitable conflict. Against the backdrop of billiards and music, a struggle for power and love unfolds, with the fate of the choir competition hanging in the balance.
