Dave Safire, a smooth talking newspaper salesman, and Heath Maxwell, a naive congressional intern, are housemates and best friends though their politics, their football and their approaches to women are opposite. On a gorgeous autumn day Heath recognizes his college infatuation on his bike ride home from the Capitol and he begins plotting the day he will stop her. Meanwhile Dave follows up on his fixation with the girl across the street, who undresses before her window every night, assuming his offbeat charm and her casual exhibitionism will lead to great casual sex.
