Glück auf vier Rädern (2006)

After a festive last lecture and academic emeritus celebration as psychology professor in Munich, Friedrich Sibelius discovers that his wife Anna plans to keep him occupied closer to home, notably with their beloved grandchildren and a salsa course with her. Their divorce-lawyer son Thomas needs Friedrich's help as court expert and babysitter for his newborn. Future daughter-in-law Sylvia casts him as character actor in one of her plays. Friedrich managed to delay getting his driver's license for 40 years, but his objections to the course booked by his wife melt away when he meets foxy instructor Eva, whom he fancies enough to flunk the exam just to resume the course with her. A mild injury on a family driving excursion finally leads to a truth-time rendezvous with Eva.
