This is a story of the great Turkish poet Nâzim Hikmet, the poet of struggle and combat, the poet of passion and love. Having adopted communism as his life philosophy, he reflects his thinking in his art, and is continuously chased by the police as a result. Every move he makes, every word he writes or says is under the close scrutiny of the state.
