Juliane is a trained dental assistant and writes romance novels with moderate success. In contrast to her soulful stories, there is still no happy ending in her private life: Jürgen, her fiance, terminates the relationship by e-mail. In order to get other thoughts, Juliane helps her uncle Hans out in the dentist's office. When a sullen emergency patient with the fitting nickname "Buffalo" appears, Juliane falls madly in love with his charming Swiss friend Jean. Unfortunately, he has to leave immediately - and so the man of her dreams suddenly disappears from her life. Juliane then processed her stormy feelings in her new novel "Melodie des Herzens", which promptly became a surprise success. The well-known producer Antonia Brückner even acquires the film rights. To her great surprise, Juliane meets the director of the film at a script review: It is, of all people, Buffalo - who Juliane's novel seems somehow familiar. He openly expresses the suspicion that his friend Jean is the inspiration for their realistic love story. In an emergency, Juliane invents a fictional Zurich fiance named Urs Uri. When Büffel then invited her to a script review in Switzerland, where he wanted to spend the Christmas days "with a friend" in St. Moritz, Juliane was only too happy to accept. Supposedly she could visit her fiance Urs so conveniently - in fact, she senses the chance to see Jean again. But when she finally meets him, it quickly turns out that the doctor of her dreams is completely different from what she had imagined. In addition, their little white lie becomes a problem. In addition to her ex-fiance, who wants to win her back, the made-up Urs suddenly appears in person. Juliane is confused, because not only her fraud, but also the imaginary happy ending of her novel, miraculously becomes reality. Only the man of your dreams is completely different.
