Due to the early date of the film early eyewitness interviews and statements from the late 1970s and early 1980s can be seen. As far as the documentary material used is concerned, here too pictures and sequences are shown that have meanwhile advanced to the iconography of RAF history. In addition, however, there are also numerous recordings and excerpts that are largely unknown to the public today. Also in the staging differs the documentation of today's formats: It is conspicuously commentary-like and dialog-heavy, music is not used. Before the credits, a list of the victims and the dead appears on both sides at the end of the parts.
