The Ottoman Republic (2008)

In a dystopian alternate reality, where K. Atatürk died as a child, the Turkish War of Independence was never won, and the Ottoman Empire, now a client republic state, is still de facto occupied. The young, powerless puppet Emperor Osman the VII falls in love with a young university student with revolutionary ideas, realizes his true duties, and must find his courage and capabilities in order to save his people in his satirical and tragicomic adventure.
