Breaking the Curse with Daryn Kagan (2007)

Devastated by the suicide of her daughter, Becky Douglas, a suburban Atlanta housewife, travels to India to honor her memory. During her trip, Becky is horrified at the plight of the leprosy-afflicted and joins forces with Indian dignitary Padma Venkataraman to eradicate the disease and its stigma.
