Polka! The Movie (2010)

The first recordings of polka by Slovenian musicians were made in 1917 in New York. The lyrics were sung in Slovenian. The recordings were released in the form of LP albums and distributed all over USA and Europe, as well as the places where Slovenian immigrants settled. Polka Film focuses on the story of Slovenian music in the USA, spotlights events and people who made or are still making this popular type of music.
